The Logo Contest

A logo contest was organized in spring 2003 to solicit a design that could be screen printed on t-shirts, hats, canvas bags, or other products. The goal was to develop a design that conveys the concept of Community Supported Agriculture in the Mesilla Valley. Any CSA in the region can use the logo to promote their business.

The contest was open to NMSU and DABCC students. Twenty-two students entered the contest. The first-place winner received $125, second place $50, and third place $25. OASIS retains the right to use all three logos. The judges were Myr Andrews, operator of Andrews Farms CSA, Ronnie Garver from University Communications, and Glenn Schwaigart, professional artist. Special thanks to OASIS Advisory Committee member Barbara Kuhns for organizing the logo contest!
